Cosmic Rays(Charged Particles)

We have several research projects detecting air showers induced by the cosmic rays through electromagnetic reactions in the atmospher. The Tibet AS-gamma experiment aims to observe very high-energy cosmic rays, gamma rays and solar flares with the air shower array built at Yangbajing (4300m above sea level) in Tibet, China. The ALPACA experiment is a new project aimed at the observation of cosmic rays and gamma rays for the first time in the southern hemisphere (on a highland at the altitude of 4,740 m halfway up Mt. Chacaltaya), launched between Bolivia and Japan in 2016. And ultra-high-energy cosmic rays from outside the galaxy are explored under the Telescope Array experiment in Utah, USA.
